The Bible says God is not wishing anyone to perish, but that all should reach repentance.  God loves the world so much and He gave His only Son, that whoever in the world believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.  He wants all to reach repentance.  And so, just think about that with the people around you that you will interact with today.  God doesn’t want any of them to perish.  He wants all of them to reach repentance.  Pray that God helps us all to see Him clearly.  

Whether you feel like an exile in the Permian or not.  God has you here for a reason.  So, be here.  Be connected.  Be engaged.  Love your city–and you will be amazed at what God will do!  

Live today knowing you have the answers to the question: What is truth? The answer is found in Jesus Christ our Lord. 

We have debts we can't repay, but the Gospel reminds us of the depth of God's forgiveness in Jesus.  It is what Jesus wanted Simon to understand. When we realize and comprehend the huge debt, we begin to see the greatness of what God through Jesus offers. 

There's a hunger in people that only Jesus can satisfy. If we have experienced the feast, the banquet table of God's grace–it is wrong if we do not share it. At the Lord banquet table of grace–the plates are always full and everyone is welcome. 

But Jesus reminds us repeatedly that the seeds we plant will bear fruit.  The weeds will not win and the wheat will prevail ultimately.  

Community is a space for us to not only show love but also to grow in love and to receive it as well.

Jesus said that the main identifying characteristic of His disciples is love. But love can't exist unless there's someone who receives that love.  Love is always going to be action.  Community is a space for us to not only show love but also to grow in love and to receive it as well.

You can’t make it in life without the right relationships. Relationships will make or break your life. You need wisdom and direction on what to do when relationships break down, and how to cultivate and grow relationships. 

Draw near to God today, with praise and thanksgiving, and the Bible promises that He will draw near to you. 

We can check all the boxes, do all the steps in Psalm 51, and say all the right words, but if in the back of our minds we are planning to sin in the same way again–then God’s grace isn’t really taking root and we aren’t really repenting and turning to God’s path.  What God desires is that we have a true repentance and change in our heart.  

“I think many of us don’t process our emotions, and especially our wrong emotions with God.  We hold on to those feelings or we simply don’t pray at all when we sense God would not be pleased with what we are feeling.”

When fear comes, remind yourself who God is.

Joy is a great word.  It is different from happiness.  Different from “I want to be happy.”  Joy in Psalm 126 is attached to tears.  Happiness is not.  We are to take our struggles, hurt, pain and tears, and take them all to God.  Say: “God, I’m giving You this hurt.  I give this grief to You.”

You have a choice: To live life covered up or to confess before God.
