1. THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS GOD PRODUCING HIS CHARACTER WITHIN US.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)

“The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, ‘Yahweh The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations.’”        Exodus 34:6 (NLT)

  • Patience is a by-product of walking in close relationship with God.

“This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners’—and I am the worst of them all.  But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of His great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in Him and receive eternal life. 1 Timothy 1:15-16 (NLT)

2. YOU CAN BE PATIENT BECAUSE THIS SEASON HAS A PURPOSE.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)

  • Patience comes into your life when you give yourself completely to Jesus.
