PART 1
Isaiah 6:1-8
1. REALIZE THE AWESOME REALITY OF ENCOUNTERING A HOLY GOD.
“It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the Temple. Attending Him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with His glory!’ Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.” Isaiah 6:1-4 (NLT)
“Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” Psalm 34:8 (NLT)
2. YOU ARE CHANGED AFTER ENCOUNTERING A HOLY GOD.
“And I said: ‘Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!’ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: ‘Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.’ And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’” Isaiah 6:5-8 (ESV)
You are awestruck.
